Freezer not freezing ice cream. Had an appliance repairman and he couldn't figure it out. I found water leaking from refrigerator and found a thick layer of ice under crisper drawer. I followed a YouTube video on how to remove shelving and inside back panel and found the drain line frozen. I cleared that out. Freezer still not cold enough. Could it be the thermistor in freezer?

Is the freezer evaporator fan motor running? Do you have a freezer thermometer you can put in the freezer to get the Realtime temperature?

Here's the evaporator(freezer) fan motor for your model:

For others following your thread--->Here's the service manual: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1MO1a_FQnzqbKt0gq_i07spEPgvqs01ur

Pages 37 and 38 tells you how to remove the back panel inside the freezer.

Then page 40 tells you how to replace it, if needed.

Ok, then you possibly have a sealed system/3-way valve problem.

Remove the back panel inside the freezer and take a photo of the evaporator coil and upload it here, so we can see the frost pattern of it.

Look the very bottom photo below where it says NORMAL FROST PATTERN:

Ok, yes that's a sealed system problem.

The sealed system consists of the compressor, condenser, evaporator, heat exchanger, filter/drier and refrigerant.

Common problems with a sealed system are bad compressors, refrigerant leaks, and system restrictions.

Sealed system repair costs will often exceed the machines value.
