Refrigerator section fan seems to not be running, no air movement. Temperature set is 35 deg, and will go up to 44 deg. Freezer and water/ice seem to be working OK. Should I be able to feel the fan from the vents?

Hi,

Yes, that's usually the refrigerator evaporator fan motor that has gone bad, when its not running. I replaced one locally back in April 2021 in Parker, Arizona and it fixed it.

Well now the fan seems to be working I put up a small flag with tape at the top vent and there is air blowing. Is the fan always blowing or does it run at variable speeds?

It should always be running while the compressor is running.

Thanks for the info... Maybe I don't have as much problem as I thought I had. The banging noise that happened a few days ago has not happened again..
