GE Refrigerator GI5SVAXVQ00 Ice maker stops working/starts after cycling power

The ice maker stops working so I have been turning it off and then turning it back on. This generally works. Today cycling the power does not seem to fix the issue. Does the whole ice maker need to be replaced?

Hi Dan, we need the model number of your refrigerator. You posted the ice maker part number in your model number.

Is there ice in the ice maker tray but it won't cycle the ice out?

Put a thermometer in your ice maker compartment and see what the temperature is reading after it sits awhile. It has to be 10 degrees or less at all times or the ice maker WILL NOT cycle.
