GE Refrigerator GYE22HMKBES dispenser control stopped working. no lights inside

i don’t want to short the main board again but i should be able to check the black/pink for voltage at that connector?

Yes, that's what it looks like to me.

Take it off completely and see if there is a break in that black/pink wire, unplug the refrigerator first.

Yes, but check for a break in the black/pink wire first with the butt splice off.

gm. do you know what function that splice/heat shrink would do? is it just a ground to that hinge area screw down? is it a resistor? i have been hesitant to remove it until i know what that is

see attached. if i check voltage on the connector with the blue check mark on it from the blue wire across to the black/pink what voltage should be there?

From the wiring diagram it says +12 volts DC across the blue wire to the black/pink wire.

no dc voltage on either side of that plug. other than that the refrigerator is working just fine. both ice makers work and the fresh food area is cold and the freezer is working. i'm confused now especially since i replaced the main the control board.

I'm puzzled myself. I don't know what else could be causing this.

Its best to have GE come out at 1-800-432-2737 to see what's going on.
