GE Washer #WJRE5500G0WW, gets stuck between Wash and spin cycle!
My GE top loading washer will run fine through the wash cycle, the water will drain but the control dial stops here (at the rinse cycle). It makes a very slight humming noise at the dial. I can manually move the dial to the spin cycle and the tub will spin and then finish the cycle. Please help.

It sounds like your timer control board is sticking on you since you can manually move it and it will finish.

You can order it here:
WH12X10404 Board Asm Mounted

Its easy to replace, just unplug your washer first.

Its #35 in this diagram: Parts for GE WJRE5500G0WW: Controls & Backsplash Parts

There should be screws either on top or behind your control panel#13 that you remove, then the console should tilt forward and then you have to unmount the control board from the control panel, and remove the electrical connectors, make sure you write down on paper where each connector goes on the old board, and it should be the same place on the new board.

Jake;

I changed out the module today, and the machine is doing the same exact thing. When it gets to the quick rinse cycle, the water trickles in to fill the machine, instead of filling in at full force like it use to. It takes forever. Any suggestions???

You didn't mention that in your first post or I would have told you its the water inlet valve and not the control module.:)

Here you go:
WH13X10024 Washer Water Inlet Valve

You can return the control module for a full refund, less shipping.

Yeah, tell me about it! My wife forgot to mention that to me as well. Lol. It's cool. I'll just keep the new control board in because with my luck, that will be the next thing to break. Besides, thanks to you, it will still be cheaper that paying to have it repaired. Anyway, I just ordered the water inlet. I'll let ya know how it turns out. Thanks again!
