Hi, my GEW9250PW1 Whirlpool Duet Dryer simply clicks but won't start.

Here's what I've done:
- Thermal fuse tests ok for connectivity
- Rollers are all in place, belt is ok, broken belt switch appears ok
- Diagnostic mode entered, shows "88" doesn't change at all when I open and close the door.
- When I press "Start" in diagnostic mode, the code changes to "08" with the "Control Locked" button lit up. (See attached photos)

Seems like the problem is either a bad door switch or the control board, but I don't know how to tell which it might be. If it's the control board I'll just get a new dryer, but a door switch I'd like to replace.

Other problem is, I can't find any good door switch replacement or diagnosis videos for my exact model.

Can anyone help?

Diagnostic: Door Switch
--->Opening the door should cause a beep tone and a number and letter to be indicated in the two-digit display. Closing the door firmly should cause a beep tone and the display to go blank or indicate 88.

Did you ohm test the door switch?

This is how to test it below:

You will need a multimeter to ohm test the door switch.

Here's that door switch for this model:

There is a video in the door switch part link to show you how to access it to check/change it. Make sure your dryer is unplugged first before accessing it and ohm testing it!

Push the button in on the door switch with one meter probe on COM and the other meter probe on NO and see if it reads.

If the door switch ohms good, then the control board is the culprit, but its been discontinued:
