I'm having an issue where i've got 40-60 temps in the fridge but normal temps in the freezer. I've replaced the evap fan (previous one was running, but figured it was still worth a shot). The fridge will go into defrost cycle and the accumulated ice melts (but doesn't drain), and then eventually freezes again. I've done the syringe/turkey baster with hot water and baking soda repeatedly for 15-20 mins and the bottom drain pan remains dry.

At this point my guess is that I need to physically unclog the drain from something other than ice (i.e. hard water deposits), but I'm not having much luck getting anything into the line. I can remove both lower drain tubes which are completely dry. The drain hole appears to make a quick 90 degree turn - is that the case? It's hard to tell. Curious if anyone know what the routing of the drain line looks like from the hole to the two lower tubes.

Hi, yes then its possibly your drain tube is clogging up, its located behind the refrigerator, I'd take the drain tube off and check it for debris.

Here's the drain tube for your model:

Here's a photo of it:

I located a video too:

Thanks Jake. I had already checked the white tubes and black transition caps (in my case there are 2) and they are dry and unclogged, so the clog must be further up. These are readily accessible from the back once the lower panel is removed.

How can I access the black drain / p-trap looking part in your link? Doesn’t seem like I can get to that from the evap drain hole side or the lower panel.

That I don't know, I haven't needed to do that here in my local area.

Also I can't locate the service manual or a video that shows you how, sorry.

Hopefully another tech. that has can shed some light on how to do that.
