GFE28HMHEES GE Water Dispenser and Ice Dispenser not working

Last night, all of a sudden the water dispenser, ice dispenser and bottom freezer light stopped working. When i have water selected on the display and push the button to dispense water, the light comes on but nothing else happens. Same thing if I have it set to crushed or cubed ice...only the light comes on. I also noticed that I can only turn off the bottom ice maker. When I click the ice maker button, there is no longer an option for the top ice maker.

Door switches for the French doors appear to be working normally. I tried unplugging the refrigerator and leaving it off or a minute or so and plugging it back in...no luck.

Sounds like possibly a loose or broken wire in the wire harness going to the door board.

i apologize for bugging you again but i want make sure before cutting anything. the picture shows the black/pink going into a heat shrink and as you see the tip of the heat shrink is torn a little. it looks like it goes to this connection then to the hinge screw and then to the dispenser board...

I don't know if I looked at the right thing, but I took the panel off off the front that has the buttons for water and ice and found this connector unplugged. Seems odd and I am not sure where it connects or if it does.

I see no I didn't look at the correct place after looking at the diagram again, but still curious about that connector.

Yes, that is very odd, I don't see where it connects to either.

You may need to have GE come out at 1-800-432-2737 to investigate that.
