The ice was constantly clumping together, and then Wednesday it was one big chunk of ice. There was also ice all around the ice maker.
Removed ice maker to find it full of ice, water constantly dripping from above onto ice maker.

Water pressure is good. Seems like the water inlet valve is bad.

Why are parts from ebay and amazon so much difference in price?

The parts from eBay and Amazon are aftermarket parts and we have see more problems with these parts than you might think. Some members have had to exchange a part 3 or 4 times before they get one that works. They don't last very long either. They don't have a warranty other than if it doesn't work they will replace it. If you search the forums you'll find how many problems there are with eBay and Amazon parts. If the water valve should fail and stick open, you're going to have a mess of water everywhere. That being said, Hair has purchased GE appliances and the prices of the parts has doubled and even tripled in some cases. The OEM parts have a one year warranty:
