Hi.
I have a Frigidaire dishwasher model GLDB958AQ1. It is at least 12 years old (in the house when we moved in) and still runs decently, but lately does not wash all the dishes.
The top rack, mostly in the front, usually has an oily film on some of the glasses after most washes. Some of the bowls in the bottom rack have cloudy water in them after the cycle is finished.
Is there anything I can do to improve the quality of the washes?
Thanks!

Start the machine on a normal wash cycle, empty and no soap. Listen for the fill valve to stop letting water in the machine. Let the machine wash for 60 seconds then open the door and check for soap bubbles/suds on the water. Use a dishwasher cleaner and run two cycles with all the options turned off, like heated dry and sani rinse. If you recently increased the temperature on the hot water heater, it may be too hot. Use a box of Glass magic in place of your regular soap until it's gone then go back to your regular soap. Try switching soaps. If you use a liquid soap try powder. If you use the tablets, try liquid dishwasher soap. Do not use regular dish soap in the machine. If you have a soft water system cut back the amount of soap by half.
