• ** REMEMBER! **The microwave can still shock you even unplugged!!

ALWAYS discharge the high-voltage capacitor first if you even think your hands will come close to any HIGH VOLTAGE components.

Jeff mentions this: Anything in the high voltage ( magnetron, capacitor, diode, wires to and from ):
...Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it.

Recently got the door error on the microwave which led me to believe one of the switches went bad. Ended up replacing all 3 switches, turn it on and boom same error. Turns out the 15amp fuse for the microwave was blown. Replaced it and now it started working but now its not heating. I'm thinking maybe the magnetron went bad but after doing some research I'm lead to believe this could be a control board issue.

The display currently stays blank with no clock unless you push the clock button and it turns on for about a min then goes off. At the same time it thinks you are setting a timer. The display goes back to blank after another min unless you press another button. Has anyone else had any issues with this type of microwave/combo oven where the control board went bad causing all this to happen? Thanks!

I’m having similar issues, same unit from 2008. What was your solution?
