dryer would not power on at all. I disassembled, tested fuse and door switch for continuity and both were fine. Turns out I had a bad wall outlet that was not delivering half of the voltage. Replaced the wall outlet, reassembled dryer and now it powers up, I hear a click when door closes and the door switch is engaged ... but when I press start it does nothing.
I entered field service mode and got error code 05. Any help appreciated.

Ok, error code 05 is EEPROM error. Bad CRC detected when reading a Page from EEPROM.

You will need a new control board.

Yes, once you install electrical parts, they are not returnable. But that should fix it, like it did the other members.
