Hello
Having an issue with my dryer which is about 3 years old, and no longer under warranty.
It has been working fine, no problems or complaints the entire time we've owned it.
My wife went to use it this morning and the control switch would not light up/power on.
After doing a little research on here with similar models/issues
I can confirm that there is 120v across the L and N and the main power harness.
Before I go replacing the Main control board, is there anything else you can think to trouble shoot? Or is it safe to assume that the issue is the main control board?
Thanks for any help you can give with this.

Hi,

GTD65GBSJWS

Missing a digit.
I found GTD65GBSJ0WS GTD65GBSJ1WS GTD65GBSJ2WS GTD65GBSJ3WS

Some model# helps...

Have you checked the fuse?
Many of these dryers now have a fuse (#418).

That one works.

I don't see the 418 fuse you mentioned though

Parts breakdown shows it....have you checked inside and out of the dryer?

I don't see it on the schematics that were found taped inside where the control board is located.
I just put the machine back together, but yes checked inside and out.
If there was a blown fuse, I'm assuming located near the power cord, wouldn't that keep line voltage from flowing to the harness?
There is indeed power flowing to the controls. The machine just doesn't power on. I did check to see if it function with me pressing the power through the board and not the outside switches and nothing.

GE has always been bad for adding or subtracting something without saying anything to anybody else :censored:

Can you post a copy?

It was always near the power cord, usually under a cover. Power would still come in the cord but no further. Since you have 110-120 volts AC coming into the board, there should be no use checking for a fuse anymore.

Fuse, power cord, thermal fuse, door switch, board could certainly stop the unit from running.

I finally got around to purchasing the control board and installed it.
Do you happen to have link to program it? I can't seem to find one for this exact model.

Nothing came with the new board?

Disregard. The issue has been resolved.

The board was the issue?

The programming/setup is on the sheet you mentioned above that came in the dryer taped inside.
