I'll try & be brief but wanna put in the details of what's going on...

A weekend or two ago, we were finishing up our laundry. I heard the washer making a quiet humming noise. So when I checked it, I noticed the agitator wasn't moving and I could easily move it with my hand. So I researched on YouTube and found one video talking about the clutch. So I ordered a new clutch and spring. I put it on yesterday afternoon and brought the washer back into the house. I loaded a small load in and started. I heard the normal hum and thought everything was fixed. So I loaded in the next load, about 6 towels and wash cloths. The washer continued doing it's normal thing until the spin cycle. I noticed it started and then stopped before moving onto the next part. Previously, when this would occur, it would be as if the washer was off-balance. No big deal. So then, I moved the towels around to help make sure things were balanced. Same thing. So then I took some of the towels out and went thru it again. Same thing. So I tried the reset process, same thing happened. Goes thru the different cycles, pumps the water out, spins a few rotations, maybe 20-25 second worth, and stops.

I've seen a few different things like it could be the belt or the lid switch or something else.

Other info that could help; I have a 3-year old who is fascinated with the knobs and lights. I've gotten him down a few times, one of which the agitator was going and it seemed like a cycle was happening but with no water or clothing. I also have had someone use our washer who has used the Delicate cycle a few different times. I also had an issue with the cold water intake where it had gotten clogged. We have a deep well for water and I just chalked that up to trash from the well. I would previously clean the screen for the valve every month and changed the hose out in the past few months.

If I need to take a video, I can.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

I got code 26, the Out of Balance, Ended Final Spin, Washer could not redistribute load. Of course, I tried the Drain & Spin cycle to do my due diligence but it would not proceed. I continued looking thru the manual at the balance ring, rod & spring assemblies, the speed sensor, and the speed sensor harness. I'm wondering if I didn't connect something properly when I replaced the clutch.

Yes, that's where I would start first to look and see.

First thing I noticed, the drive belt had gotten twisted somehow. I know pulleys are meant to work only one way so I'm not sure how that happened. Then I took the belt off to get it straightened out and saw where it was coming apart. I put the belt back on & brought the washer back inside. Same thing only this time I noticed a little bit of water being dispensed like a normal spin cycle. It would spin for maybe 30-45 seconds and then stop, never really getting up to full speed. I took it back outside and turned the belt around. I don't know why but this one has grooves on both sides, which doesn't make any sense to me. Brought the washer back in. Same thing. Is this my culprit? Is there any recommendations on which one to get & how to get it here quickly?

I made sure all of my connectors were snug and there were no loose connections anywhere. I'm assuming it's the belt causing problems.

Thank you for your help! So the frayed belt is probably what led to the spin cycle not working?

Yes, I agree.
