Hi guys, I have exhausted my troubleshooting skills (without throwing parts at it, at least) so I've come to you .
This newer GTW680 doesn't seem to dispense hot water, no matter what cycle is chosen, except for during some very specific times. For instance, if you wait until it has started agitating, and hit Deep Fill, then the water it starts dispensing will be the hot water. But the tub is already full of freezing cold water at this point (this is obviously when I have chosen HOT for the cycle, by the way).
Another interesting item to note is that when it's doing it's initial fill, and you quickly cycle through the water temperatures, sometimes the valve will "bang" when cycling through the hot water choices, and you can see the hose flex for a second, but the valve must close immediately, as only cold water continues to flow (verified by closing the individual valves on the water lines as well to see what is dispensing).

Manually testing the water valves/solenoids, they function as they should.
Using the "Test Menu" (Holding down Start while rotating knob 7 clicks), the hot water dispenses as it should, as does the cold.

Also, I THINK that sometimes it may dispense a little hot water for a few seconds, but then quickly just reverts back to cold. But I am perplexed by the "interesting note" I mentioned above where the valve will bang open for a quick millisecond and shut again.

Any guidance is appreciate, if this has been encountered before (Although not from my googling. But maybe nobody tried the "Deep fill" button while troubleshooting?

Thanks!

Hi, This is a very unusual problem I've not seen before.

Hopefully another tech or member that's seen this problem and fixed it can shed some light on this issue.
