My top loading washer is 3 years old. When I press the power button, nothing happens.
When I open the lid or turn the dial, the power and start button lits up.
Any button I press, it goes to extra fill and shows some more time required. Next if I press any other button including the start button, it goes to normal timing again.
After few seconds the power goes off.
Where is the problem?

Hi, this is a Canadian model GE, which we can't access a tech. data sheet online to help you troubleshoot it.

Hopefully another person that has this same model and same problem can assist if they see your thread.

Other than that, It would then be best to contact GE Canada at 1-800-561-3344 to have a tech. come out to see what's going on.

mine is doing the exact same thing. 3 years old as well. tried unplugging, and a couple of reset suggestions and i haven't made any headway. it also appears that most of the electronic parts are "no longer available" or hard to track down....
