I have a 3 year old GE Top Loading Washer (Model GTW750CSL1WS) that will not finish spinning. It goes into "bALAnCINg" mode after doing the slower spin on every load no matter what is being washed. It then starts filling again with water to try & balance itself. I have put it in diagnostic mode & tested the spin cycle & it spins up to maximum speed with no problem but the manual does say that in the diagnostic mode there is no OOB (out of balance) detection.
So the washer is able to spin at high speed but is for some reason detecting an OOB condition. I have visually checked the suspension rods & they seem OK. The tub is not banging back & forth when it spins. Could it possibly be a speed sensor problem. I don't really want to start throwing lots of parts at it. Any ideas? Thanks.
