So initially my issues were:

Issue #1 - The fill cycle would not stop filling (regardless of load size S/M/L/XL/Super, etc..) and eventually overfill and flood the laundry room.

Issue #2 - Rinse mode would have the pump continuously draining and filling with water at the same time. (The tub would never fill, just spin with water flowing in endlessly).

Issue#1 - After spending the last week pouring through these forums the first thing I checked was the air dome for debris. Nothing was visibly there but went ahead and blew through it from the water pressure switch side and confirmed it was flowing well. I went ahead and used a compress air can as well and blew through it for extra measure. I still did not fix the issue. Next, I tried blowing from the water dome side while it was filling to test the switch and it would stop when I would blow into it which was confusing at first but went ahead and ordered a switch and once replaced, the issue disappeared.

Issue#2 - Once we resolved issue #1 we still had the second issue with the tub not filling up during the rinse cycle and continuously filling and draining with water endlessly. I went ahead and did a diagnosis and it came up with a thermistor error which really didn't make sense because the water was switching between hot and cold during fill, I just couldn’t get the water to stop during its rinse cycle unless I manually switched it off via the shutoff. My work around for the time being was to simply turn off and turn back on the water and it would continue like normal. It just wouldn’t stop on its own. Strange again. At this point I replace the thermistor aka temperature probe and still have issues. Next, I replace the entire control board and while I no longer have any error codes showing up I am still having the same issue. I can definitely tell when the water is supposed to be off because it starts making a screeching noise when it’s trying to shut off (or should be) and when it’s supposed to be on it flows silently. So for the time being anytime I hear that sound I simply turn the valve off and on and it continues likes normal...

At this point the only thing I can think of I can try is replacing the water inlet valve which should be delivered in a few days. Anyone have anything else I can try in the meantime or some other suggestions?

Key Notes (Issue #2):

  • I can hear the water change its tune when its supposed to be off but still flowing.
  • The water would stop in diagnostic mode with the old board but with the new board it just keep flowing thru the rest of the steps.
  • It functions as normal if I turn the shutoff off and off immediately.
  • Water stops like normal in fill mode but will not stop once in rinse mode
  • Only error showing up was thermistor which did not resolve the issue. (Does not show error after replacing)

Update: Tried out a full test run on some laundry and issue #1 has reappeared after the controlled board was replaced. :cautious:

Hi, yes the water inlet valve is the problem. The way I do it on my service calls is when the water is overflowing like that, unplug the washer and see if water still keeps flowing in, if so the water inlet valve is stuck open and will not close, thus its bad.:)

Here's the water inlet valve for your model:

Well the weird part about that was it would stop during the fill cycle but not during the rinse. If it was faulty it would never stop right? Anyway just got the part in today and will see if that helps!
