GE Washer makes a knocking sound when turning. Doesn't matter if it's turning very slow or fast, it makes the knock at the same point in rotation. Seems to be coming from the bottom of the basket area, possibly between the basket and tub. Tub bearing maybe?

Yes, I see and hear that.

Does it do this same knock noise if your tub is empty with no clothes in it?

If so, then its possible the bearing is the problem.

Here's the bearing for your model:

Video included in part link.

You will also need to order the tub nut wrench: Tub Nut Wrench WX5X1325 To remove the inner tub.

Thank you Jake for the reply! Yes it makes the knock sound whether it's completely empty or full of clothes and water. It's only a 2 year old washer so it's a bummer the bearing is going bad so soon. Is there anything else I should replace while I have it torn apart?

Thanks Jake, I checked with it completely empty and the same knocking sound is there but it is much quieter. When it's full of clothes and water the sound is much louder. Do you still think it's the tub bearing?

Thanks
Eric

Ok,

You may want to check your big transmission pulley first, that may be causing the noise if its loose. Take the belt off of it and see if its loose or wobbly.

Here's the transmission drive pulley for your model:
