I have a GE top loading washer GTWM4250M1WS. It makes a racket spinning. I'm going to attempt changing the WH38X10017 Shaft and Tube Assembly.

Am I correct in assuming this is the more likely faulty part? I'm not confident I can just do the bearings part of this. And I can get that part for about $75 newish.

I'm going to replace the seal and buy a new WH2X1193 Hub nut, as people say I might have to destroy the old one getting it off.

While I'm "in there," should I go ahead and AUTOMATICALLY replace (if I can remove it) the tub bearing?
What else should I replace? What about the suspension rods? What about the belt?

THANKS FOR YOUR OPINIONS!!

Hi Brett, Use your phone and make a video of the noise when its spinning and upload it here, or upload the video to Youtube and post the Youtube link here. Or share your video per Google Drive, Dropbox, or Microsoft OneDrive and post the share link here.

GTWM4250M1WS does not pull up as good, please take a photo of your model number tag and upload it here.

I think the washer might be a little over 10 years old I'm not sure. The problem started a couple years ago actually.

I'd replace both, just to be on the safe side.
