I had to take the from of the dryer off tonight to replace the belt but I think I may have broken another part in doing so. I am guessing maybe it's the moisture sensor but I am not sure. I thought the bank would pop off so I could separate it from the front. It connects to a tube that goes somewhere to the rear (inside) of the dryer.

So my questions:
1) Can you identify the part for me?
2) Did I break it by popping the back off?
3) What is the proper way to install it and remove it?

Thank you,
Dan

Also, if it is related to the steam function and I have to buy the whole steam kit can I just not connect the water in the back and bypass the whole thing? If I can just buy a couple of inexpensive parts there's cool but otherwise we could easily live without the steam function.

Ok I think it is related to the steam function and I broke the 1/4" compression elbow. Can that pay be purchased? If not, can I just not connect the water supply?

I don't see it shown separately on that model. It might only come as part of the whole front duct/support assembly part # WE01X24546. I did find this on a different model which might be the same as the one used on yours.

It would be much cheaper if it could be used instead of replacing the whole housing.

Thank you Dan. Two related questions:
1) How do I remove the nozzle from the housing? It doesn't seem to turn.

2) Can I just not hook up the water supply and not use the steam function?

I do not know but the picture shows a hole in its triangle-shaped bracket. It's not screwed to the housing?

Can I just not hook up the water supply and not use the steam function?

I do not know that either, sorry. If you try it let us know the results.
