    ALWAYS discharge the high-voltage capacitor first if you even think your hands will come close to any HIGH VOLTAGE components.

    Jeff mentions this: Anything in the high voltage ( magnetron, capacitor, diode, wires to and from ):
    ...Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it.

I unscrewed the magnetron thermocouple to see if that would fix the problem but it did not. Not quite sure how to diagnose this one. I would appreciate some advice.

Did you solve your issue? I have the same problems. Goes for about 10 seconds before it shuts off.

Yeah I fixed it. It was a bad magnetron. Just ordered one off of eBay with a similar part number. I had heard what I thought was the magnetron arcing before but I wasn't sure.
