After plugging it in, the fridge cools to the set point and the compressor turns off.
-There is a refrigeration cycle indicator and it correctly indicates whether the compressor is running or not during this time.
-There is also a digital display of the temperature sensor and it correctly displays the temperature.

Within 12-24 hours, the compressor turns back on and doesn't stop running unless you unplug it from the wall.
-The compressor is running but the refrigeration cycle indicator is not showing that it is on.
-The digital display of the temperature sensor is still correctly showing the temperature (down to zero Celsius and then flashes "LL").

I resistance tested the temperature and defrost sensors and both appear to be working correctly.

Any ideas as to what's wrong?

Hi,

I resistance tested the temperature and defrost sensors and both appear to be working correctly.

I'd guess then the control/pcboard is sticking on if the temp sensing devices are ok.
If you plan on changing the control I'd change the temp sensor at the same time....which should hopefully give you a reliable repair.
