• ** REMEMBER! **The microwave can still shock you even unplugged!!

ALWAYS discharge the high-voltage capacitor first if you even think your hands will come close to any HIGH VOLTAGE components.

Jeff mentions this: Anything in the high voltage ( magnetron, capacitor, diode, wires to and from ):
...Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it.

We have a Bosch Microwave HMC80251UC/01. The control panel stopped working. We pulled it out and found a blown fuse. We replaced the fuse but after putting it back in the control panel is still not working. We have a spare control panels and tried that one as well with no luck. What else could be wrong?

Besides the electronic control itself there look to be 2 possibilities. 1. The filter board that houses the fuse and 2. the thermal cutout on the magnetron tube. Both look to stop all power from getting to the control when they fail.
