My wife is an avid baker, and this Thanksgiving we pushed our old oven to its breaking point. The heating element burned clean through. I removed the old element and see that it has a plug, not the standard connectors I've seen in many replacement heating elements. Can this kind of element be purchased today? Can I use a different kind of element in this oven? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Make: Hotpoint wall oven
Model: 20RJ34B

That's a common way they fail.

That bake element has been discontinued for quite some time however there look to be some exact fit aftermarket replacements still available (see the following link).
