I have an older Bosch Axxis dryer that was making a really loud noise when running. I investigated and found one of the bearings on the drive motor shaft is completely shot (the one in the center of the first photo). I want to replace the bearing but I can't figure out how to remove the belt pulley on the end of the shaft. Any suggestions? The shaft is completely smooth so there's no great place to bite onto it. Is the pulley normally threaded (or reverse threaded) or is it a press fit? How do I keep the shaft from spinning so I can turn the pulley?

Thanks in advance.

I really doubt it is screwed on. It is more likely press fit.

Other than cutting it off, it might be able to be loosened by heating it but you still need some kind of puller. Try to keep the shaft cool at the same time.

BTW. I don't see the pulley available separately. Cutting it off likely defeats the purpose.

Thanks @Dan O. it was indeed press fit and a 2-arm gear puller worked perfectly to pull it and the seized bearing off in a few minutes (no heating or cooling required).
Many thanks for your helpful comments.
