After a power outage our icemaker is not producing ice anymore. I checked the motor.
We have this model : Icemaker Module | Appliance Aid

I tried the following tests :
Test points L & N will verify 120 volts to Ice Maker module. >> voltmeter reader shows that it s running fine

Test points T & H will verify if the bimetal thermostat is open or closed.
Short T & H with an insulated piece of wire ( 14 gauge) with the ends of the wire bare approx 1/2" to run the motor. If the motor doesn't run, replace the module assembly.

Motor runs but after now 2 hours still no ice has been produced.

Any ideas would help. Thanks a lot.

So when you shorted T & H the motor did run and the ejector arm fingers cycled all the way around? Did it put water in the ice maker tray?

I always first feel inside the ice maker tray, to see if I feel any ice cubes inside the ice cube slots. If you do, and after 2 hours it doesn't dump them, then your ice maker is bad.

Here's the ice maker assembly for this model you can order here:

Happy 4th of July!

Thanks for your message.

Yes, the motor is running. I shorted for a full revolution, the ejector arm fingers cycled all the way around. I could also feel the heat of the ''tray'' but no water went to the ice maker tray.
There are no ice cube in it. This stuff worked for 14 years, no issue. We had a power outage last week for about 16 h. Everything melted in the freezer so there are no ice left in the tray. When we got power back, the freezer was working fine, but not the icemaker.

Not sure why there is no water coming into the tray?
