How many times did I say “let me ask Jake” over the years? He was my consigliere and saved me so much money and time on bizarre appliance problems. He was always so responsive and curious in this site, clearly a labor of love and also kindness. His counsel and selfless replies gave me the confidence to do things myself. I took apart my dishwasher twice because of him (in a good way) as one example. I wish his family and friends (applianceheads and otherwise) peace.

安息吧,杰克。我只是通过这个论坛认识了你,但我会想念你的。愿上帝安息你的灵魂。

I am so very sorry to hear that... My condolences to the family. He helped me a number of times, including suggestions on an unorthodox "beer fridge" project. He will be sorely missed.

My condolences to the family. I never met Jake, but his posts here showed he truly wanted to help people. One could not ask for a better epitaph.

Jake helped me diagnosed my fridge and dishwasher many years ago. He is an incredible human being who helped others so selflessly. RIP, Jake. I am sure you have found peace and happiness in heaven.

I was brand new to the forum and he helped me with my refrigerator when I couldn't find the answer through searching old threads. Thorough, knowledgeable, and kind. I regret not finding Jake and this forum sooner. My condolences to his family.

Jake has helped me with a few problems over the years. He always took the time to help others and I'm sure his family misses him greatly. Rest easy kind sir.

Jake, you and your colleagues helped me fix things, and saved a lot of things. You will be missed, but I'm glad that this will continue and will keep helping people.

RIP to Jake and his family. May his memory be a blessing. And THANK YOU for all the help you have given to me! You will be missed!

I send my deepest condolences to Jake and his family and friends. I had no idea how much effort, time, and money it took to run such a helpful website. Jake helped me repair my parents' chest freezer in 2018. I will always remember his kindness and extensive knowledge. Thank you and I will miss you.

Jake gave me appliance help on the forum a few times which was really nice of him. I recall a lot of other posts that I've read where he's done the same for others. I am saddened by his death and want his family to know that he had a positive impact on many people. RIP
