I am in need of a new fridge and I am between two of them.
One is this KitchenAid and then one is a Whirlpool. These are the two models here:
KitchenAid - https://www.bestbuy.com/site/kitche...printshield-stainless/6260435.p?skuId=6260435
Whirlpool - https://www.bestbuy.com/site/whirlp...rator-stainless-steel/6260426.p?skuId=6260426
There are things I like about the KitchenAid more than the Whirlpool, however there are multiple reviews of the KitchenAid one stating about ice buildup that causes the fridge to not cool down.
I am coming off of a Samsung fridge that did just that, and it was super annoying when I had to deal with it. So I really do not want to deal with it again.
Is this something that is very common with these? Or is this a vocal minority just letting people know about their problems? The Samsung fridges this seems to be very wide spread so I am wondering if that is the case here too. I did not really read much about that happening to the Whirlpool model I linked above when reading reviews either.
So that is something I am a bit concerned about when spending nearly $3k for a fridge. Is this something I should be concerned about at a wide spread problem?
