I live in a new condo building (2021) in Canada. The apartment came with an Amana electric range with oven. Model: Amana YAES6603SFS2 Serie RA0313360
I don't think this stove/oven model is anymore than 10 years old (but not sure), given that the condo building is a new construction.
Do newer appliances like these still use asbestos in their parts?

1) I see a rope gasket inside the oven door. Could there be asbestos in this rope gasket?
2) I opened the oven door and noticed some fibers (greyish, almost white) sticking out near the frame of the glass window on the door. Could this be asbestos fibers from inside the door that are somehow sticking out?

I'm concerned and so worried about this.

Thank you!

I extremely doubt it. I doubt you'll find asbestos in even 50 year old home appliances.

It is fiberglass.

It is extremely, extremely unlikely.

If you want absolute confirmation contact Amana with the range's complete model and serial number and ask them if they can confirm it.
