I replaced the hidden baking element in the top oven of our GE double oven. It worked fine for a day, but now the cook top, top oven and bottom oven won't heat. The clock works and when you turn the knobs or start the oven the lights go on and the controller clicks like it is cycling power to the oven but none of the elements heat up. Could it be a grounding problem with the element I replaced?

It sounds like a electrical problem in the outlet or breaker, because its highly unusual for everything to go haywire like that at once.

This is 240 volt range, have you reset both the dual breakers? Turning them all the way off, then turning them on again? If one of the dual breakers is tripped you will still get 120 volts to make the clock work, but no heat at all on ANY burners.:)

I'd also pull the range out from the wall, then unplug the range and check the terminal block where the range cord wires connect to the range, they may be a problem there, loose or burnt connection.
