My Jenn AIr is overheating.
I believe the first diagnostic is to Ohms test the probe.
can I Ohms test without disconnecting the harness (which seems to connect deep in the back of the unit and is not acxcessible from the oven cavity)?
accessing the back panel on a Jenn AIr downvent requires disconnectiing the venting system which is something of a nightmare to reconnect.

never mind.
clearly I cannot. dumb question.
and having disassembled my (identical) Donor Unit I see how I can dettach that probe without moving the whole range.

Yes Peter, like I mentioned in this thread:
Sometimes you can get lucky, and by taking the screws out from inside the oven where the oven sensor mounts, you may be able to pull the oven sensor wire through the hole and test it without pulling the range out from the wall.
