We have a Jenn-Air JDR8895ACS Dual Oven from 2006.
I ran a HVY oven clean on the lower oven after dinner the other night.
At some point it finished cleaning and I heard the lock unlock.
The next morning I used a microfibre cloth and some vinegar to clean up the burnt materials and left the door open for hours to air dry.
The machine beeped twice during the 3-4 hours I left it open.
At some point I closed the door and tried to turn on the oven.
All the buttons on the control panel now do the same thing.
Any button pressed displays UPPER 00:00 DELAY.
Press a second time displays LOWER 00:00 DELAY
Press a thing time and just the time displays.
Press any and all buttons and the 3 steps repeat.
I've power the unit off and on, and I've done a Factory Reset more than once.
The only function that works is after a power up I can press KEEP WARM, it will get the upper oven to 170.
The only other I just discovered it that the BROIL on the lower oven can be turned on after a power up.

I'm trying to find out if something other than the Control Panel failure could cause this odd collection of results?
No connector problems to the Control Panel can be seen nor felt.
Everything I find online says Control Panels "fail", versus act oddly.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Moisture can get into the control panel touchpad and cause a short. It might eventually dry out on its own or use of a hair dryer might speed it (don't melt it!). Otherwise the control might need to be replaced.

Thanks Dan.
The panel's been open for four days now, so whatever drying can happen, should have by now.
I left the oven over for 24 hours to air dry all parts in hopes it might make a difference but none so far.

Hopefully it wasn't permanently damaged and dries out because a new controller is a fortune!

You could also try unplugging the range or turning off it's breaker for a while. It may not help but shouldn't hurt.

$500-$600 Cdn for a panel in Ontario.
Did the breaker as a first step as unplugging any oven is a pain.
It's also dual fuel so the breaker is the quickest.
Unfortunately still making no difference.

It would be moisture penetrating the front membrane. I doubt leaving it apart would affect its drying.

Unfortunately, if is doesn't correct itself, there aren't many options; replace the part or replace the appliance. Sorry
