My 15 years old Jenn-Air refrigerator just stop cooling yesterday. Compressor will not start.
Need help with location for control board, can't see where is it from schematics.
Also will appreciate help with test mode step by step how to. I had managed to bring my GE to back life by replacing control board.
Willing to give a try to this one. Definitely will not replace compressor.

Thx in advance!

Compressor will not start.
Check for 120 VAC at the compressor. If the voltage is correct the problem is not the control board. Check the start device.

Thanks for the info. I see120 VAC at the compressor, condenser fan is working and damper opens and close. Looks like start device bad, new one will arrive Wednesday.

Did you get a chance to check it first? That machine is known for having a bad compressor. Check the comp windings:

Checked everything and found out that S and R pins on compressor show resistance and as expected overload burnt out immediately. My "highly" educated guess that compressor dead and that is end of good 15 yrs happy run.
Any advice on new reliable countertop depth refrigerator is appreciated.

Stick with a brand you're familiar with and stay away from LG and Samsung.

Thank you! My choices are Jen-Air, KitchenAid, Maytag and Bosh.

Will Jen-Air, KitchenAid, Maytag have same reliability as I understand that they share same components and within model looks almost the same.

Same machine except for Bosch. I can't say anything good or bad about Bosch. I haven't seen that many.
