Hello First off I’m extremely grateful for any help given. I have a Jenn Air JW1000W serial number : 10799564QB top loader washing machine that all of a sudden stopped spinning and wouldn’t drain. I tried all other spin cycles ( side note: the dial nob has broken off) and it wouldn’t work. I started to smell some burning at the time so I unplugged the machine. Thankfully I figured out how to drain the water. I’ve trouble shooted by looking at the manuals online that it could be that the pump is clogged or it’s the lid switch. Unfortunately, for the life of me I cannot figure out how to take the rear back paneling off. There are springs and it said if not using the purchased tool I could break them- and I’m afraid to do that.
yesterday I tipped The washer its front and the bottom was exposed. I noticed on the left side that there was some fabric that seemed Stuck to a part - it was next to the belt-could that have been it? I’m sorry if I sound dumb, but I’m clueless with fixing things, but want to learn as I rent and don’t have the greatest landlord so I try really hard without having to rely on them.
Thank you again, and I appreciate your help and kindness.
