Hey Friends, our 14 year old oven is not getting to the set temperature. It's like 70 degrees short. The element is like $80 but I don't want to guess. Everything else on the oven is normal, the fans, display board. Any thoughts on how I could diagnose. Thank you!

Ok, more intel. Wife says bottom oven and now top oven temps way lower than settings. Reading on this forum many say control board is bad and they may not make them any longer.

Also, is there any way to know if the problem is a

That's the first thing that came to my mind in your first post, was the oven sensor, but then your 2nd post said BOTH ovens were having the exact same issue, and having both oven sensors go bad at the same time is unheard of. LOL

But if you want to ohm test both oven sensors, you certainly can. Disconnect power to your double oven first! Then instead of pulling the double oven out, you can remove the screws from each oven sensor from inside the both ovens and pull the oven sensors into the oven slowly until you see the plastic electrical connector, then remove that connector and ohm test them.

Would love to know what it's like in McMullen Valley. I am in Phoenix.

We get the exact same Day time temperatures as Phoenix, but the nights are cooler because we are out here in the country. LOL

No traffic jams, except in Quartzsite, Arizona when they have all the Rock and Mineral shows in January and February. The snowbirds have basically all left the area now, and the end of May they all will be gone before the June-September heat sets in. LOL

Hi Jake, I have my new control board and am trying to take the old one out. I can't tell how far I have to disassemble

Trying to pull the oven out of the hole and its barely budging. Also this plastic trim on the bottom seems to be hanging me up but I don't know how to remove.

I had to run a service call in Parker, Arizona late yesterday afternoon, that's why I was not able to respond when you posted about getting the oven pulled out.

I pulled the oven out, took off both metal side panels, then the control panel, only to realize I did not have to do any of that. The control panel had 3 screws underneath and was hanging by two pins. Oh well. I did not find one video showing this procedure. Now, what to do with the old part.

Hey Jake and Friends, now the wife is saying the food is not getting done based on the recipes. Like if a cake should take 30 minutes to cook, she has to leave it in for 40. Not sure if the elements should be the next part replaced after now, 15 years of use. Thank you
