I found this thread via Google:
as I was/am having the exact same problem.

My trouble shooting had led me to that same diverter is not moving at all and switching the path of water from the top to the bottom during the cycle. I actually just removed the little white diverter disk and it seems now that the water is pumping to both upper and lower at the same time. I have NO idea how to run the diagnostics and was wondering just how difficult it would be to replace the motor itself. Or, can I just leave the diverter itself out and let it wash as it is now? Thanks in advance.

Thank you. I will dig into this over the weekend.
Do you think I'm doing any harm running it without the diverter in there right now? It seems to be washing the dishes adequately (at least my wife isn't complaining)

That I don't know, never seen anyone run it without the diverter before.

But if its doing fine like that, I don't see any harm either.
