I'm getting an error code on this of 6-6 which tech sheet says is "Cool Water" ... Incoming water under 84F (29C)

But when I run the tap I measure hot water of 131F

What else could this mean?

I'm attaching your tech. data sheet below.

Yes, 6-6 Cool Water--->Incoming water under 84°F (29°C).

1. Be sure dishwasher is connected to the hot water supply.
2. Confirm temperature at sink (recommend 120°F [49°C]).
Instruct customer to run water at sink before running dishwasher.
3. Unplug dishwasher or disconnect power and check all connections and measure resistance in Temperature Sensing circuit. Replace OWI if resistance is high.

Lets ohm test the OWI soil sensor.

To verify the OWI soil sensor is bad, you can ohm test it with a multimeter. It should measure 46K to 52K ohms at room temperature about 77*F.

Turn the breaker off to your dishwasher, then Ohm test it from the P12 connector at the control board, between P12-1 and P12-3 connector disconnected from control board, don't ohm test it from the OWI itself.

Here's the OWI for your model:

Thanks!

Finally got to testing. When I leave the wires in it's 9K ohms and when I pull the yellow wires out it's 11K ohms.

So I need to replace the OWI soil sensor then (AKA Turbidity Sensor?), which is the part you linked earlier: WPW10705575 Sensor ?

I googled for this part in Canada but wonder if you have any recommended sites to buy at for up here.

Can we be confident we've isolated the problem with this washer now and just buy the replacement to fix it, or should we do some other kind of testing to see if there may be other issues as well?

I found a new replacement sensor locally and just installed it. But the resistance measurements are the same 😥

That's very strange. I really don't know what else is causing this.

Its best at this point to Contact KitchenAid Canada at 1-800-807-6777 to come out and see what's going on.

And not sure what's happened but now the door won't stay open -- it's really tense/difficult to open and will quickly snap shut.
