I'm not sure if anyone is still having issues with this, but it's basically a 100$ fix (CAD)... or at least it was for me...
if the motor is buzzing it likely means that it is TRYING to spin but it's jammed. ... I opened up my dishwasher and found the filter inside the main pump had blown itself apart... this is part number W11084156.

Ive attached a bunch of pics of what I found and how I took my pump apart... you need to take out the 3 torx screws to disassemble the motor. really easy to get apart once the filter just slides out.

here are the resourses that I used to get to the motor. then I just simply took the 3 torx screws to take the motor apart

It was part #8 in the above link that destroyed itself. Kitchenaid did a pretty piss poor job designing the pump and filter arrangement. you shouldn't have to rip apart the entire pump just to get to a simple filter.

I hope this helps someone else out... its ridiculous that this failed for me after just under 2.5 years.
