KDTM404KPS - New Kitchenaid Dishwasher error 10-4

We purchased a new Kitchenaid dishwasher KDTM404KPS. My husband installed today however it does not function propertly. After starting the dishwasher 45-60 seconds, it turns off and sounds like it drains a small amount of water. Very little water has reached to tub, only the back left side is wet.

The unit will then beep with a 10-4 error code, which I cannot find any information for. We have tried all wash options without any luck. I would love some input as my husband has lost all patience...and hour project has taken all day

I could only find a reference to error code F10E4 which indicates "Diverter Cannot Find Positions". I don't know how to go about correcting it. I would think you should call for warranty service.

Yes, Dan is correct.

F10 E4 is Diverter Cannot Find Positions.

You can check to make sure the Diverter Motor electrical connector is plugged in all the way, it may not have been tight from the factory.

Its located under the sump assembly, underneath the dishwasher, you may need a flashlight or drop to see it.

If that's not the case, contact KitchenAid to come out at 800-422-1230 under warranty.
