Hello. My 2.5 year old dishwasher was not draining and the drain pump was making a noise when it would try to drain. I disassembled and removed the drain pump and there was a 1" flat square of stainless steel with very small holes that was preventing the drain fans from spinning. The metal looked like a filter/screen like one you see from a tea strainer. It was chewed up around the edges. I am pretty sure it came from somewhere else in the dishwasher. I removed the metal and reassembled and ran a diagnostic and received a E1 F7 error. If I try to run a cycle, no water comes out of the wash arms. Some water is in the bottom and it does drain now, yay.

From my research, it looks like I need try and replace Whirlpool Part# W11416362 Pump and Motor. Does anyone have the service manual for KitchenAid model KDTM804KPS0? Does it sound like this is the part I need to replace? I would appreciate any guidance and manual.

That filter inside that chamber, that's broken, here's the part number: W11108699

Here's the dishwasher wash(circulation) motor for your model, which comes with the new filter already installed for you:

Disconnect power to your dishwasher. Then you will need to remove the dishwasher from underneath your cabinet to access those parts.
