• ** REMEMBER! **The microwave can still shock you even unplugged!!

ALWAYS discharge the high-voltage capacitor first if you even think your hands will come close to any HIGH VOLTAGE components.

Jeff mentions this: Anything in the high voltage ( magnetron, capacitor, diode, wires to and from ):
...Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it.

Good Evening,
When using the quick start button (pressing 1 for one minute) on the microwave with a cup of water in it, the water does not get hot. If I use Custom Reheat functions, things heat up no problem. Trying to figure out if a new part is necessary to have that function operational again.
Thanks!

Hi,

I have no experience working on microwaves, I will ask Rick if he could help you.

Press 2 for two minutes. Does the water get hot? That's part of the control board on board program. You'll need to replace the control board.
