model # 82874100 stock # 28741 washer makes grinding noise when aggitating and doesnt want to drain totally checked the motor coupler and it seems ok they are not broken when you turn the coupler by hand their seems to be a lot of slack,any ideas??

Hi Rick,

Sounds like there is something stuck in the water pump. Take off the water pump by releasing those 2 clips, then with the pump off of the motor shaft, start it in the wash cycle. If the grinding stops, then its in the water pump.:cool:

Also when the rise cycle starts in makes a lound grinding noise and doesn't spin!

So in wash cycle, it doesn't agitate at all, just grinding sound?

It drains ok but doesn't spin? Grinding in spin as well?

If thats the case, check for a broken coupler.

yes thats whats its doing but I checked the coupling and it seems fine,,any other suggestions??
