SIDE by side, freezer keeps forming ice on bottom of freezer. 3rd time now. i have taken back off, and got hair dryer to thaw what i thought is frozen drain/tube to drip pan. also did the part above drain hole in freezer. got it all cleaned up but it keeps freezer. i can see water runs off wher hole is and onto bottom of freezer. i have tried to removedrip pan to clean but it looks undoable.. which i thought is strange, most just slide out but this one seems to be a big deal. how can i tell if all the water is OUT of the drainline and not frozen? thanks

thanks, took apart again. got a wire and jabbed it down the drain for a while, i did pour hot water down the drain, and finally got it to drip in the pan. wonder why it keeps freezing the line anyway.

Should be more than a drip. Try a hose to blow out the drain or try an air pig to blast out out the drain.

wonder why it keeps freezing the line anyway.

All it really takes is the drain to be slowed down and the water can drain away fast enough and will freeze over.

Adding some heat to the drain hole entrance can also help.
