Just recently replaced the element. Air is coming out freely from the vent outside. Was told it could be the seals. Anyone care to expand? I don't feel heat in the room when the dryer is on.

Nope, not on this model.

Ok, you have the evenheat model, I'd first look for burned/arc spots on the control board inside your console. Unplug your dryer first!

Here's our major thread that goes into great detail about it:
[FIXED] Another Kenmore Dryer problem

Here's how you get access to your inside console, then the console will lift up and tilt it back on its plastic hinges, remember unplug your dryer first:

Here's the control board for your model you can order:
Manufacturer part number W10116565 is RepairClinic item number 1378522
W10116565

If that looks good, Then its possibly your heater relay

Here's the parts diagram for your model:

#36 #15 is the motor/heater relay, swap them and see what happens, unplug your dryer first! They are the exact same part.

Here's the motor/heater relay for your model:
Manufacturer part number 3405281 is RepairClinic item number 528722
