Hi guys, I'm getting a "PF" error code on my portable air conditioner. I am thinking that it's the "Probe Failure" sensor is damaged, am I correct? Is there a way to fix the sensor by cleaning it or something? I'm in Canada and non of the companies seem to carry any parts for Kenmore anymore. If I need to replace the sensor what would be the part number and where can I buy it? Thanks

I have no idea whom made that unit for Sears but "PF" most often means Power Failure. If there was no power failure, there might be a problem with the electronic control.

If you need any parts, try to get any numbers printed on them in case they can be traced to the OEM manufacturer. You could also post a photo of its identification tag showing its model and serial number in case that gives a clue to the manufacturer.

Dan, I thought at first the same thing power failure but it actually says in the similar model manual probe failure. And I also saw youtu.be video of the guy replacing it after getting pf error code. Here is the tag photo and I'm going to try to see if there is a number printed on the actual part.

Can you share a link? I don't know what "probe" it would be referring to. Maybe some type of sensor? It's kind of difficult without a parts list to look at.

I can't make out the serial number in the pic. Is it all numbers or letters too? Any special characters??

Thanks.

Is your unit the same? I've never dealt with a DeLonghi product. I don't know if they manufacture appliances themselves or rebrand other manufacturers' products. I'll see if I can find other brands that use a similar serial format in case I can find an OEM manufacturer.

I looked up the part from the machine in the video and it is part # TL1904. I don't know if it is the same as used on yours. I can't find many places that list it and none with that part in stock.

No, Dan I have Kenmore but this guy has a similar problem, I just need to find the same part as he replaced but for my Kenmore 129-35710 unit.

I realize that but Sears Canada is out of business. There are no parts lists for Canadian models online and I don't even know whom made that product for Sears.

If you can find out who the original manufacturer is you might be able to contact them to ask what the part number of that part on your machine is and then you can try to find one.

If you can't find the actual part number but your model is similar to the one pictured, you can try to find the part used on the machine in the video and try it.

Dan, I took the unit apart and there is a label attached to the cable that I need to replace with the "T071F" or "TO71F" zero or letter O I'm not sure. Could this be a part number? I think the part is called Thermistor.

I have heard the Reliable Parts in Canada have some Canadian Kenmore resources. You can try contacting them and asking if they can look it up for you. If they don't carry the part, try asking for its part number.

I already tried calling them and they don't have anything on Kenmore.

Hey did you resolve this issue? I've got a buddy who also has this problem.
