Hello,
The bake button on the control panel does not respond or engage the oven to start. Do you think this could be a bad element? Any other thoughts?

Does the rest of the functions work? Does broil work? Are you getting any error codes? When you push the button for bake do you hear any clicks? I would certainly check the bake element for continuity first. It's most likely a relay on the control board.

Thats odd, Rick is correct, if the bake element ohm tested fine, then the only other part left in that circuit is the control board.

You did order it from RepairClinic?

I did not purchase my brother did as it is his oven. I sent him the link for repair clinic so i am assuming so but will need to check. The hearing eliminate tested ok and also heats up during the self cleaning processes. I will double check the element. Is 35 ohms correct? And does the heating up during self clean indicate any thing.

If that thermostat was bad, you wouldn't have broil but you said that works, correct?

Yes broil works great. If the bake element heats during self cleaning does this indicate the element is good.

Yes, the element is good. Check the oven sensor. It should read 1100 ohms at room temperature. If that checks good, we're back to the control board. If you look on the back of the control board, there are three relays. Measure the voltage between the black wire marked L1 and the red wire on the relay with the red dot. If you have 220 VAC then check the wiring between the element and the control board. If the wiring is good the new control board is bad.

Here's the oven sensor for your model:
Manufacturer part number WB21T10007 is RepairClinic item number 911001

Here's a help video to test it:

Is it possibly the key pad that connects via the ribbon cable to the control mod

Yes Rick, since his broil element worked that eliminated the thermal fuse.

No jwp, its not likely the keypad, unless you got no response from pushing the bake button.

Yes, do check where your brother got the control board from, its likely defective and you'll need to exchange it for another.
