Kenmore 970 series Refrigerator - only light works

Hi everyone,

My kenmore over under 970 series fridge, only has the light working. I have tested:
evap/condensor fans, control temp, start and over load relay. All are working. The evap and condensor fan don't run when the fridge is plugged in. The compressor has continuity. When I tried to jump the compressor all it did was buzz from it getting power. Never tried to start, no noise or any other indication that its servicable. Unless my analysis is wrong, I have left with that the compressor has seized. The fridge is from 03/04 so it makes sense that the compressor is scrap. Before I go buy a new fridge, anything else I should check?

Other than the compressor, not sure what else it could be. Each part has passed the test I did and is deemed servicable.

If you did it correctly, sounds like a bad compressor.

I have a trade background so I have confident in my diagnostic skills. Like I said, even with direct power to the compressor, it only hums that it has power. If its 16/17 years old, it has had a good run.
