Kenmore Dishwasher takes almost 2 hours to complete 75 minute cycle. Seems to keep rinsing.

I have a Kenmore 587.15074. On a 75 minute cycle (normal wash, light soil), the dishwasher washes and drains fine until it gets to about 65 minutes, then the machine makes a clicking sound and the wash light flashes. Then it seems to keep using the same water to rinse over and over for about 25 or 30 minutes.

We've never noticed the dishwasher to click like this. I'd be happy to have any advice.

We've had the unit for probably 15 years.

Hi,

587.15074 is just a partial model number, we would need the complete model number, the model number tag is located inside the door on the tub frame.

Here's the results I get:
587.15074200
587.15074201

This is a very unusual problem, if you can make a video of this happening that would help us determine the problem.

Thanks, I saw it!

Its a bad control board when that happens then.

Here's the control board for your model:
Main Control Board 154445802

Thank you, Jake, for your review. It's disappointing to hear that it's such an expensive part that failed. I was fearing it was something serious.

Glad to help Patrick, sorry it couldn't be something minor instead of major,

Jake
