kenmore dryer model 110-96281100 won't turn off

After changing out the thermostats and high limit cut-off, my dryer no longer shuts

down on a timed cycle. The heat element turns off but the dryer keeps runing until

I open the door. Do you think I reversed one of the wire leads on the thermostats

or the high level cut-off? any input is welcomed thanks

How does it work the auto or permanent press cycle(s)?

Your model uses a 'power resister'. On the auto cycle if it has failed the timer will not advance to the off position. I've never heard of one in the circuit on the timed cycle but may be possible. Check the appliance's wiring diagram.

They have gone to a different style of resister as a replacement:
